6/21/23 Wed. Nockamixon 11am-2pm. 70 Degrees Air and Water Temp. A windy windy mess for first day. We each hooked nice bass, Billy's bigger for sure, but didn't get either to the boat. I hooked mine on Speed Trap right along Lily Pads and it went into one and unbuttoned. Billy's was on a tube bait and he just didn't get a great hook set cause of the wind. He did get a Perch in boat.
We didn't go far from the Tohickon Ramp. Couldn't get out of wind no matter where we went.
Mom Mom passed away and bad weather kept us off water for most Summer.
15th Leaser Lake, 11-3PM water clear and mid 70's, should have been a good day for fishing, but cool temps and brisk wind kept us shutdown except for 1 smaller Bass Billy caught near damn on worm.
Later in afternoon activity picked up with fish jumping in pads and even open water, but I was physically beat down by that time.
6th Chambers Water very dirty 68. Very nice day with enough occasional breeze to try spinnerbait. Air temp in upper 70's and Sunny.
We both caught a 16"+ Bass plus some 12-13"ers. One I caught was super bloated with eggs yet. Billy's big one had spawned out, mine appeared to be a large male. Caught mine on 4' Diver Bandit and Speed Trap. Billy on Rapalas. I also caught a small Pumpkin Seed, no need to leave him out.
20th Hopewell 11-4PM Water 72-75 Clear. Air Temp Mid 70's .... Nice Mostly Sunny breezy.
Did full 1/2 trip around lake till I caught one on Sp. Trap. Them went to using Texas Rig and Drops shots. Caught couple on each.
Billy caught 2 or 3 on Drop Shots around Lily Pad edges, same as me.
No big ones.. 12-14" ers.
11th Marsh Creek 11:30am-3:30PM. Water Temp 59 extremely HIGH and Windy. Air Temp 71. Could not launch at Lyndell water was so high and wind was blowing so hard we could not launch. Went over to park side and though water was above the boat deck it was shielded from wind and we got in and fished bank all the way down to the Arm.
We kept getting smacks on our lures, but didn't get one in until coming back up and I hooked I got a bass on my Bandit Wobbler 2-4' diver. We had lots of follows and hits in another area and Billy landed a very nice Perch.
Overall I think we caught 2 more fish than I expected. We knew none of other lakes would be fishable, but trying the Park Side at least got us into the 2022 Action.
Blue Marsh 10:30-3PM. Water 57 degrees and lake drawn down. Cold outside in low 50's , but needed to try and get our one more time.
Billy caught a nice one just under 15" on a Jig out on main island rock cliffs. We thought we would find Smallmouth, but only one was a LargeMouth. It was just too cold to go down lake to possibly better areas.
Don't know if I am going to sell boat or not. Doesn't seem to be worth having at my age and neuropathy in my legs is getting worse.
5th Chambers Lake 11-3 Water murky. Warm mostly sunny day in 80's. no wind at first but picked up and got breezy.
I caught nice one on Lipless Frenzy then another decent one. Billy caught his on drop shot and I caught a few on my drop shot too.
Very Decent Day.
2nd Marsh Creek 10-3pm Hazy overcast mid 70's and water 68. We each caught nice size Tiger Muskies and then nothing but occasional nibbles. I did land a nice perch on a Spinner Bait. I had a DT-6 and Billy DT-10 for Muskies.
21St Leaser Lake 11:30-3:30. Water Clear and 78 degrees. Hot day and little breeze although it pick up as storms are moving in tonight.
Caught quite a few small bass on Drop shots and I lost the Big One.. probably 15" couple pounds. We both lost lots of fish. It was day after Father's Day and lake looked like it was pretty beat up.
